Dress Code

We offer a large selection of dancewear as a convenience for our dance families.
Ask us about purchasing dancewear items through the studio.


Our dress code will be strictly enforced, students that do not come to class dressed appropriately (including hair back as addressed below) may be asked to sit out.

*Jeans (including stretchy jeans), denim shorts, or denim skirts are not allowed in any class.*

Ballet: black leotard, pink tights, skirt (in appropriate class color, see below), pink leather/canvas ballet slippers, hair in bun
Bitsy Ballet skirt: red
Pre Ballet skirt: lavender
Beginning Ballet skirt: purple
Ballet I skirt: light pink
Ballet II skirt: dark pink
Ballet III skirt: blue
Ballet IV/Technique/Pointe skirt: black
Adult Ballet skirt: optional or dancer’s choice
       >Ballet males: Black shorts or sweatpants, white t-shirt, black ballet or jazz shoes

Jazz/Musical Theater: leotard/t-shirt/tank top, any color tights/leggings/dance shorts, black jazz shoes, hair in ponytail or bun
       >Jazz/Musical Theater males: Black shorts or sweatpants, white t-shirt, black ballet or jazz shoes

Tap: leotard/t-shirt/tank top, any color tights/leggings/dance shorts, black tap shoes, hair in ponytail or bun
       >Tap males: any color shorts or sweatpants, any color t-shirt, black tap shoes

Hip Hop: comfortable loose fitting clothing (e.g. leggings, sweatpants, appropriate length shorts, t-shirt, tank top), clean sneakers, hair in ponytail or bun

Tumbling: comfortable loose fitting clothing (e.g. leggings, appropriate length shorts, t-shirt, tank top), bare feet, hair in ponytail or bun

Hula: comfortable loose fitting clothing (e.g. leggings, appropriate length shorts, t-shirt, tank top), bare feet, hair in ponytail or bun

Irish Dance: leotard/t-shirt/tank top, any color tights/leggings/dance shorts, ballet shoes or socks, hair in ponytail or bun
       >Irish males: Black shorts or sweatpants, white t-shirt, black ballet or jazz shoes

Adult dancers: dancer’s choice - attire should be easy to move in (leggings and shirt ok) 

Dance shoes must fit the student in the present time and are not to be used for “growing into”. Pointe shoes must be fitted with the studio Director present.
